Taylor and Dean decided to combine their son’s baptism with their wedding vows, creating a very unique wedding day for the family.
In what was possibly the quickest Catholic church service I’ve been to, Taylor and Dean were married and then their second son Hunter was baptised at the St Mary’s Parish Church in Goondiwindi in mid March.
When I left home at Warialda on the Saturday morning, it was pouring rain. In fact, it rained the entire drive north, until I reached Boggabilla, when the rain petered out and the clouds started to disperse. By the team I reached the border for sunny Queensland, it was just that – a steamy sunny day just over the border!
After the church service, we headed out to the Botanical Gardens at Goondiwindi where there is a lovely lake, a beautiful little wooden bridge and lots of native flora to photograph amongst.
We shot some family photos of Dean, Taylor and their two children Braith and Hunter first. Then the children were able to go and play at the park at the gardens, while I photographed mum and dad together.
After bride and groom photos we returned to the Goondiwindi Golf Club for a casual reception wheremoved around the room taking candid shots of guests and family, as well as formal family portraits.
Dean and Taylor – thank you for inviting me to capture your special day. Your photos will mean that you can treasure these memories.
