I first met Jaymee-lee when her first son Taysharn was around six months old and he visited the studio for a Sitter session. Not long after that, they returned to the studio for a cake smash for his first birthday!
This year, we celebrated Jaymee-lee’s pregnancy and her birth of her daughter Olympia.
So, Jaymee-lee, along with partner Sam and Taysharn came out to the studio and we had heaps of fun putting Jaymee-lee into some of my new maternity outfits. I have several ‘multi-way’ dresses, where you can change the look of the dress simply by wrapping the top section different ways. I also have a gorgeous lace gown that we used for a couple of photos as well.
One of my favourite things to do during a maternity session is to play around with light. Photography is nothing without light and you can change the look of an image immensely just by changing up the lighting.
With Jaymee-lee’s pregnancy session, I used some moody lighting on one side to really showcase and accentuate the baby bump. We moved Sam in for a couple of shots as well, and the lighting created a very intimate image with the tow of them together.
Olympia arrived around a week late, but the little peanut still weighed less than 6 pounds! Taysharn was such a proud big brother and he posed beautifully with his new little sister.
Here are a couple of pics from the session – Olympia is just so tiny and adorable!
