To Josh and Melanie, their December wedding in Inverell was almost like a ‘destination wedding’. Living in Western Australia, the pair brought their two small children back to Inverell – a place the both grew up in, to wed just before Christmas.
For December nuptials, the day was actually quite mild. It was a beautiful sunny day, however a cool breeze kept the temperatures to quite an acceptable pre-Christmas level!
Melanie was joined by her sister and sisters in law as her three bridesmaids, and Josh brought together some old friends as groomsmen. The wedding was held in the gardens of the Tourist Centre and Riverside Function Centre in the heart of Inverell, with the reception at the Riverside Function Centre.
Purple was a favourite colour of Melanie’s which she managed to incorporate into many of the aspects of the wedding day. Her invitations were quite ornate with purple filigree, her daughter’s dress had beautiful purple accents, her nails were purple and almost opalesque and of course, Melanie’s dress had purple accents around the bustline and down the skirt. Oh, and the cake was three shades of purple!
For bridal party photographs were utilised the riverside area north of the bridge and also the beautiful gardens within the function centre/tourist centre complex.
I’d like to wish Josh, Melanie and the kids all the very best now and into the future.
