Tiarne and Carl visited the studio from Inverell with 5 day old Mila.
When I asked dad Carl about what his first thought was when little Mila was born, he simply said ‘Wow!’. Five days later, he marvelled at her big feet, her strong legs and of course, her beautiful, full head of hair!
Mila spent much of her session wake, just checking things out, and giving me some amazing awake shots of her dark eyes – before falling asleep on the beanbag, just in time for some shots on her belly!
It’s such a blessed time those first few weeks. And perfect to capture on film (or card as we do these days lol!) Not only are bubs easier to pose because they crave being curled up like they were in the womb, but it’s great to capture that wondrous look of amazement in the eyes of new parents!
They will only be this small once, and for a short amount of time!
Tiarne first visited me in the Warialda studio for her maternity photography session. We utilised a combination of lighting throughout the session - the studio lights for some very striking monochrome shots, diffused natural lights for some indoor shots with a very floaty feel and then ventured outside to showcase the natural beauty of both Tiarne and the landscape.
Now, back with the entire family, we used natural light for shots of Mila and a black backdrop and studio lights for family shots.
Mila was born on Tuesday 4th August. 8lb 13oz.
