I have known Paul most of my life and was delighted when Ange and Paul phoned to book their newborn photography session with me. I think Ange would have liked it to have been a little earlier than it was – as she passed two of her booked dates – but these bubs enter our world only when they’re ready! So little Harry Stephen Durkin was born about a week later than expected at 3.8kg.
So little Harry was very happy to sleep through most of his session, especially when he was curled up in someone’s arms – he was such a cuddly little fella! His facial expressions were fantastic and I have so many shots of him pouting his gorgeous little lips! When he was awake, he was quite content and gazed straight at me, allowing me to shoot some amazing open-eye photos.
Plus, Harry had one of the most amazing swirly, spiral cow-licks I have ever seen – it was just perfect!
Dad Paul was a little bit smitten with Harry and was ever the doting father. He was a huge help in the session, assisting me with reflectors, the posing fabrics and also choosing some great hats for Harry to wear. And I also captured some beautiful mother and son shots with Ange. As I said, Harry was just so content in Mum’s arms!
