Last week it was announced that I am a finalist in the Young Entrepreneur category of the New England North West Business Awards.
Just being named as a finalists is a huge achievement and I am so proud of how my business has grown over the past year.
I strive to provide amazing studio and location photography services to the people of the north west and think it is important to be able to access high quality services without having to travel to the city.
I am also a big advocate for encouraging young people to start their own businesses. I think out here in the country we have so many opportunities in business and while the ‘jobs’ aren’t necessarily plentiful, the business opportunities are – you just need to take that first step, work hard to achieve your goals and think outside the square.
Small and micro businesses are the backbone of our rural communities. We must support local business in order for our local communities to be sustainable now and into the future.
The Awards ceremony is this Friday in Narrabri and I would like to wish all the finalists the best of luck.
